Jan Leeming and Stella Parton
Nowadays, with all the communication channels open to us, small businesses should be able to manage their own PR & Marketing and avoid the ongoing cost of employing a PR. As with all things though, you need to know where to start, which is where we are here to help you. We'll talk through your business needs and come back with suggestions as to what will work for you. If you'd like to take ownership of it we can provide s training, or we can take charge of it on your behalf. And whatever you decide, we're always on the end of the phone and able to provide support.
In simple terms we often describe PR as 'free advertising', in so far as our aim is generally to get our client featured favourably within national media that it would ordinarily cost to appear. But it's more than that. We look at our clients objectively and focus on what makes each unique, we talk with journalists we know, producers we've worked with, and look for opportunities to get them featured. For some clients we'll suggest stunts, for others it's just a matter of reporting what they do to the right people. Often it is about spotting an opportunity and supplying information swiftly and succinctly - and in the case of a crisis, it's about clear communication delivered straight. Many agencies believe it takes a cast of thousands (and bill to match) to deliver to you the client, but we disagree and have demonstrated on many occasions - from West End theatre first nights to restaurant launches; World Cup Wheelchair Rugby to Top Record Company Celebrations; Business and Education clients to Top Celebrities and from glorious gardens to holiday cottages we've delivered over and over and look forward to working with you too.
Performing many of the same duties as a Theatrical Agent, our Artiste Management team not only look out for, and negotiate, work deals, but they plan them in and develop a structure to them too. Management is as much about what, we as a team can do to support you the artiste achieving your long term career ambitions. It’s like a giant Chess board, sometimes it takes several moves to position you in the job you really want but each helps you grow as a performer and for the public to accept your development and join you on the journey. And once you’re there, we support you so you can concentrate on what you excel at. Through the PR side to our business we also build your profile and keep you relevant, accompanying you on appearances and keeping the wheels running smoothly. Senior members of our team have each had over a quarter of a century working with stage, screen and TV legends, extraordinary musicians, truly extraordinary people. The management side to the business is deliberately smaller and specialist, focusing on a handful of performers 24/7. For this reason we don’t take on new clients regularly but if you feel we might help you, or if you’d just like some advice, we’d be delighted to hear from you.
Don't worry, we don't send lots of update emails, so won't bombard you. But, if you're happy to hear from us occasionally, please sign up below.
